Lace On Lace

You can find lace everywhere this summer. It is a trend that is classy yet very chic. It's one of those trends that seemingly could be seen year-round for a few years now, and this summer is no exception. While previously reserved for lingerie, wedding gowns, and Victorian decor and fashions, we’re now seeing lace all over - shorts, dresses, shoes, blouses - and even on many stars at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival (images via Elle.com). Loving these stunning gowns!

I also love the elegance that lace gives no matter the shade. I love this black lace dress that I wore to the Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala was eye catching and it truly captured elegance.

My all time favorite Lace Dress is this gorgeous ivory Balmain Knitted Midi Dress! Its intricate pattern and detail adds edge to a soft, feminine silhouette, which is what I love most.

The variety of lace patterns!  They range from intricately detailed to quite simple, and the pattern’s strategic placement can take an item from plain to sexy to sophisticated.

We’re seeing lace layered over or with neutrals or in varying shades of the same color. It’s also common to pair lace with something more structured to tone down its very sweet, highly feminine appearance. This could mean trousers or trouser shorts, as well as a tailored pencil skirt or denim.

Right now, we’re selling a few lace dresses, perfect for a glamorous night out or great for a wedding! This lovely Adrianna Papell Boatneck lace sheath dress, still available at full price via Nordstrom at $145 is featured on our site for a fraction of the price and BRAND NEW.

This piece can be styled for casual or formal events. With a denim jacket or nude sandals to take it casual, or a gold cuff and pumps to take it up a notch.

Not looking for a lace dress but love the trend as much as we do? Check out these adorable Valentino Lace espadrilles (available in both blush pink and black on our site) which are a feminine touch to a classic or casual outfit. These beauties retail at $595 at Net-a-porter.com (and $475 for the pink).

Since lace generally has lots of character, it can be thought of as the statement of your outfit, meaning you can keep your accessories- shoes, jewelry, hair, makeup - on the simple side..That’s how we like to do things here at TPM, simple and easy but always staying posh!
