For the month of September we’re excited to feature Lindsey Herzog of RubyGirlBlog.com as our POSH Blogger of the Month. In talks with Lindsey over the course of the summer, it became so clear that she was a great fit for this role, as she’s active in her communities (including organizing SilhouetteMN, a fashion show & gala for the benefit of the charity she discusses below). Aside from aligning on that common interest of improving the lives of others, she has an amazingly POSH sense of style, an upbeat approach to her social media presence, and is a mainstay in the Minnesota Fashion Blogger scene. We’re so excited for all that’s to come with this collaboration!

I am so impressed and inspired by the efforts of HopeWorks in Haiti. It is a family-run nonprofit organization that has made such an incredible impact on the lives of so many. HopeWorks draws on innovative strategies to passionately fight for a better world for children and community members in remote villages who lack access to valuable resources. HopeWorks has opened the doors of its Children’s Home to orphaned children in its unique & attachment research-based foster home format, giving each of the incredible children a caring family, education, and hope for a brighter future. The organization has also enacted various programs to stimulate economic & community development. Through the fundraising event, Silhouette, HopeWorks would like to raise enough funds for the Children’s Home to become more self-sustaining through solar power instead of insufficient and limited energy. Second, hydroponically grown food would replace costly and unreliable food sourcing. In addition, HopeWorks would also like to expand elementary school classrooms in a remote village, providing Haitian children the opportunity to attend school without extreme hardship. I’m looking forward to visiting Haiti this year to see these programs in action and look into the eyes of the beautiful children whose smiling faces represent the importance of HopeWorks efforts in Haiti.

I love the way Lilly Pulitzer brought sunshine, color, & positive vibes to the fashion industry. Her brand continues to do so! Her work wasn’t just about clothing, but a lifestyle of happiness, class, & kindness. Some of my favorite quotes of hers are “Life is a party. Dress like it”, “Style isn’t about what you wear, it’s about how you live”, and “These clothes make people happy. You feel happy wearing bright colors. It makes you smile. Who doesn’t want to smile a little bit more these days?”. Overall, such fun and positive vibes that convey a sense of greater connection to the world and people around us. Plus, Jackie O, queen of class, sported Lilly regularly, so there’s that too :)

There’s no way I could just pick one! So many amazing pieces… The Valentino cut-out dress is gorgeous. I adore it! I also love the pale pink Louis Vuitton bag This Issa London emerald green dress is a total stunner. And the Isabel Marant houndstooth pants are so chic, perfect for the upcoming fall season.

I love the off-shoulder style. It’s so effortless, feminine, and flattering for everyone.

My monogram necklace! It’s a go-to, so versatile. It can be subtle and simple on its own, or make more of a statement when layered with other necklace.
