When we are in celebration mode over National Black Business Month, our radar goes fashionably haywire! We love sharing the stories of brands that we align with and in keeping with tradition, we become more contemplative with our business, our culture, and our impact on the world as we are proudly part of the Black business community.
We honor this community-positive month by always thinking of ways to highlight and bring advocacy to organizations whose ethos we vibe with. We featured our top pieces from fashion brand Taylor Jay Collection at Queen Anna House of Fashion. See how our stylists styled our favorite picks found at Queen Anna House of Fashion, making it easy to add straight to your wardrobe.
The Sophisticated Brunch Look
Get dolled up for a weekend brunch with your friends, your family, or even just you (we’re big proponents of treating yo’self). Go for minimal by pairing your favorite earrings with these tortoise shell-style sunnies and a brilliant nude heel that’s just at the right height. Cap it off with a new fragrance and you’ll be walking into your favorite brunch spot looking like a billion bucks.

The Timeless Wedding Guest
We loved the red shoe look so much on the model that we couldn’t bring ourselves to deviate away from this ensemble. Adding a showstopping color always generates head turns and compliments. We kept it straightforward with a fresh perfume scent, oversized sunglasses, and pearls. It’s a modern take on the classic black dress.

Taylor Jay on the importance from National Black Business Month
"At Taylor Jay, we take inclusivity very seriously; that’s one of our non-negotiables. Especially, being a Black-owned fashion business for women, this has been the central point of our work- making sure there’s a proper representation for every body type, every woman. And when we talk about inclusion, we mean it for every sector, most importantly in entrepreneurship. But lack of representation and biases from social construct has held us back, and we need to collectively work towards growing despite it, and abolishing this disparity."
"It was a challenge that led our founder Taylor Jay to start this business- when the mainstream fashion brands didn’t cater to her body type, she tailor-made one for herself and now we are proud to do it for you. And this has been possible only because of the unhinged support from our kind customers who recognize us for our quality of work and our values."
"This Black Business Month, let’s work together to educate each other, ask questions, discuss solutions and uplift the underrepresented."
